| FISCAL YEAR 2000 EXPENDITURES |
| The expenditures reports for the 1999-00 school year are based on Fiscal Year 2000, which began July 1, 1999 and ended on June 30, 2000. The actual data was taken in a snapshot of the appropriation file on December 12, 2000. Enrollment data was based on the audited October 1999 total school register file. | |
| The total expenditures for the 2000 fiscal year is $11.39 billion. This budget includes debt service as well as the city contribution to Board employees' pensions. Pass-through dollars in the amount of $678 million, 6% of our budget are also included. Pass-through dollars are funds that are administered by the Board but do not benefit children receiving educational services in public schools. They include dollars for non public schools, both general and special education, as well as the budget for the Fashion Institute of Technology, Charter Schools and Board of Elections functions related to use of schools as voting sites. Expenditure reports for districts and schools are based on the public school budget only, $10.71 billion dollars. Systemwide reports numbered 1,3, and 7 reflect the total budget of $11.39 billion with pass-through detail. | |
